Minnesota Chapter of ASM International

2019 - April 17 Technical Meeting

ASM Trustee Dr. John Wolodko, Past Chair Night, and Scholarships

Wednesday, April 17th, 2019

Minnesota Chapter ASM welcomes ASM Trustee Dr. John Wolodko, AITF, to the Green Mill in Plymouth, Minnesota on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019, for his presentation "Edible Materials - Interesting Parallels Between Foods and Materials Science." The chapter will recognize its Past Chairs and award annual scholarships to materials science and engineering students.

The food we eat, whether natural or processed, exhibits a wide range of material behaviour which impacts its form, how it's made and its sensory experience when eaten. This presentation provides an introduction to food science, and highlights interesting similarities with materials science and engineering.
