Analytical Chemist

To support its strategic business plan, rapid business growth, and increasing customer needs, Ebatco is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the Analytical Chemist position in its Nano Analytical and Testing Laboratory (NAT Lab).

The experienced and customer service oriented Analytical Chemist will be a technical member of the NAT Lab team. The Analytical Chemist will perform contract lab services and instrument demonstrations, operate advanced nano/micro scale scientific instruments, collect, analyze and interpret testing and measurement data, and write technical reports on experimental results and observations. The Analytical Chemist is also expected to interface with customers for technical discussions, answering questions and proposing analyses and testing plans.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or graduate degrees in analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, or related chemical disciplines
10 years for Bachelor’s, 5 years for Master’s and 1-2 years for Ph. D. working in a lab environment or with advanced instruments
In-depth understanding and knowledge of FT-IR, Raman, GC/MS, LC/MS, HPLC.
Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills
High level of problem solving and project management skills
Strong ability to effectively function in fast-paced, dynamic technical environment.
Customer service and interface experience, a plus

Responsibilities:
Perform customer contract lab services independently or with technician support
Perform instrument demonstration and analytical services to support instrument sales
Operate advanced nano/micro scale analytical and scientific instruments according to analysis protocols and operating manuals
Discuss and compose analysis and testing plans
Collect, analyze and interpret testing and measurement data and record observations
Write technical reports on experimental results and analysis
Interface with customers for contract lab services and instrument demonstrations
Write testing procedures and protocols, and marketing materials

Compensation:

Nano Analytical and Testing Lab Technician


Ebatco is seeking an energetic, self-disciplined, customer service oriented technical person to join its Nano Analytical and Testing Laboratory (NAT Lab). As a technical member of the NAT Lab team, the technician performs contract lab services and instrument demonstrations with appropriate levels of support and supervision, operates advanced nano/micro scale scientific instruments, collects testing and measurement data, and writes technical report on experimental results and observations.


Requirements:
BE or BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related disciplines
One to two years of experience working in the lab environment or with advanced instruments
General understanding and knowledge of material properties, surfaces and interfaces, nanoscience and nanotechnology  
Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills
Customer service and interface experience, a plus
Technical selling and marketing experience, a plus
Responsibilities:

Technical Sales Engineer

To support its strategic business plan, rapid business growth, and increasing customer needs, Ebatco is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the technical sales engineer position.

 

The technical sales engineer will have an engineering or technical background, is motivated and experienced in technical selling and marketing, and is committed to meet or exceed sale goals. This sales engineer’s primary job function is to identify and develop new markets and new customers by following company strategies for increasing sales and revenues and through effective interactions with current and potential customers.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  Bachelor’s or graduate degrees in engineering or technical fields

  2-5 years of experience on direct in-field sales for testing and analytical instruments, industrial machinery or equipment or contract lab services

 

Technical understanding and general knowledge of analytical instruments and material properties, surfaces and interfaces, nanoscience and nanotechnology  

 

  Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills

 

  Can-do and positive attitude

 

  Ability to be self-motivated and work independently

 

  Ability to handle stressful situations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

 

  Ability to travel at least 20% of the time

 

  Strong selling and interpersonal skills

 

  Successful track record of developing new markets or penetrating existing markets

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Conducts sales through lead generating, prospecting, cold calling, telemarketing, online selling and in-field meeting
  • Generates and delivers technical presentations that explain the benefits of company products or services to customers and prospective customers
  • Collects and assesses customer needs, and works with company supporting team to create and propose product or service solutions to address customer needs
  • Closes sales and secures purchase orders
  • Develops and maintains long-term relationships with prospects and customers
  • Supports marketing activities by attending trade shows and conferences, and by generating application notes and demo videos
